I am Miss Scharriziod Edwards , my peers address me as Sharay. I am a proud resident of Port Arthur ,Texas.  I was also born and raised here. I began my career in education at Memorial  High School  in 2015 . I knew I wanted to teach I just wasn’t sure what grade level .  After a year or so I decided to try something different which led me to  elementary school. Where I taught kindergarten at Sam Houston elementary as a permanent substitute . That year I realized that I wanted to remain at the elementary grade level . Sadly , hurricane Harvey came and changed a lot of things around , leading me to becoming a STAAR Tutor for all subjects grade level 3-5 at Staff Sergeant Lucian Adams Elementary . While working there these last 3 years I ended  my time there teaching 3rd grade Reading, Writing and Social Studies.

I am so excited to start this new journey  at Wheatley School of Early Childhood  .  This will be my first year working with the “tiniest” Titans ,  and I am so ecstatic!  I can not wait to enjoy all of the fun exploring and learning moments with you all.

  I am also a proud Memorial High School Alumni , graduating class of 2010.   Being able to come back home and teach children in my hometown has always been dream of mine .  I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Communications  degree from Texas Southern University . While attending undergraduate school I  became a proud member of the illustrious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated  Spr.12 line, Gamma Psi Chapter.  I believe in providing service to all mankind.

I am also a mother to my handsome prince Jase. Whom I enjoy spending time and creating memories with . When I’m not busy and have spare time   I like spending it with my family , friends and other educators .  I am honored to be apart of this I amazing school.
