My name is Andrea Rene Harmon and I am a proud Inclusion teacher at Wheatley School of Early Childhood Programs. Nothing excites me more than having an opportunity to shape the minds of my students and instill in them a passion for learning. I have been an educator in both Beaumont and Port Arthur Independent School Districts.
During my journey, I have served as a: Teen Leadership teacher, Resource Math, English, Reading, Social Studies and Science teacher, Content Mastery teacher, Inclusion teacher, Dyslexia Specialist, Life Skills teacher, Preschool Program for children with Disabilities teacher, and now an Early Childhood Special Education Services Inclusion teacher.
I am certified in Special Education (Early Childhood - 12th grade) and I have had the pleasure of working with students from Early Childhood to the 8th grade. I have been truly blessed throughout my 17 years of experience and have received the following awards/ recognition's:

Philosophy of Teaching
"I believe that students will rise to the standards that you set in place for them. My beliefs are demonstrated in my teaching style because I hold my students to a high standard. I give them opportunities to take ownership in their own learning. I hold them accountable for their own actions."
